Effect of the Quality of Chinese Medicinal Decoction Pieces on the Rationality of Chinese Medicinal Prescription and the Safety of Clinical Medication

【Abstract】 Objective: To explore the effect of the quality of Chinese medicinal decoction pieces on the rationality of Chinese herbal prescription and the safety of clinical medication. Methods: A total of 648 patients who had to be treated with Chinese medicine decoction in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from May 2016 to May 2017 were selected. During this period, the quality management of Chinese medicine decoction was implemented in our hospital. The 324 patients before the implementation of the management were taken as the control group, and 324 patients after the implementation were taken as the study group. The effect on the rationality of Chinese herbal prescription and the safety of clinical medication was analyzed. Results: The effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Adverse events of prescription in the study group were fewer than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The quality management of Chinese medicinal decoction in Chinese pharmacies can effectively avoid adverse events and adverse drug reactions, improve the therapeutic effect of Chinese medicinal decoction in patients, and enhance the rationality and safety of Chinese medicinal prescription in Chinese pharmacies.
