“Acupuncture for regulating and dredging the triple energizer” combined with surround needling for 30 cases of female chloasma

【Abstract】Objective: To observe the clinical effect of “acupuncture for regulating and dredging the triple energizer” combined with surround needling in the treatment of female chloasma. Methods: 30 cases of female chloasma patients were treated with the “acupuncture for regulating and dredging the triple energizer”. The selected acupoints include Danzhong (CV17), Zhongwan (CV12), Tianshu (ST25), Qihai (CV6), Guanyuan (CV4), Shuidao (ST28), and Guilai (ST29), combined with local surround needling. The treatment was performed once a day and five times a week in the first two weeks, and once the other day in the later six weeks, a total of eight week. The skin lesion scores before and after treatment were obtained and the curative effect was evaluated. Results: after eight weeks of treatment, among the 30 patients, there were 7 cases who were basically cured, 12 cases who were markedly effective, 9 cases who were effective, and 2 cases who were ineffective, with the total effective rate of 93.3%. Follow-up was performed after two months, and one case of the 28 cases with effective treatment had mild recurrence. Conclusion: “acupuncture for regulating and dredging the triple energizer” combined with surround needling can obviously improve the facial skin lesion of female chloasma patients, and the curative effect is remarkable.
